Steeped in over 400 years of history, Chiddingstone Castle is one of West Kent’s most intriguing and beautiful heritage treasures. Set within 35 acres of peaceful grounds, this Grade II* house invites visitors to wander through beautifully preserved rooms, including the Great Hall, Victorian Kitchen, Library and Servants’ Hall, before discovering the story of the castle and the Streatfeild family in the dedicated history room. These fantastic spaces are available for private hire and provide an elegant and memorable setting for a wide range of occasions including birthdays, family gatherings, corporate events or an awards evening. For larger events, exclusive use of the castle and its extensive grounds is also available. Their experienced and professional team is on hand to assist with planning and to ensure your event runs seamlessly. Chiddingstone Castle also offers a refined and picturesque venue for weddings and is located just a very short drive from Sevenoaks! The estate’s grounds are truly enchanting, offering wide views across the Greensand Ridge, an elegant avenue of Japanese cherry trees, a Victorian Orangery, and even an Ancient Egyptian–inspired grass maze— which is perfect for gentle walks in any season. The castle’s collections, tea room, and gift shop are now closed until reopening in March 2026, the grounds remain open daily throughout winter for scenic walks and fishing (except during private events).
